One of the first steps in the DIGITRAIN project was to analyze the main barriers faced by low-qualified adults when accessing technology.
Through interviews, surveys, and contextual analysis, five recurring obstacles were identified:
Fear or insecurity about making mistakes
Many people feel anxious when using digital devices for fear of «breaking something.»Excessive technical language
Digital content often uses complex vocabulary or unnecessary anglicisms.Limited access to devices or connectivity
In rural areas or disadvantaged environments, there is still a significant gap in physical access.Lack of support
Self-directed learning is not always feasible without a supportive human environment.Absence of relevant or contextualized content
Learning to use tools that do not connect with everyday life does not generate motivation.
This research has been key to adapting our pedagogical resources and methodologies to the real profile of the target group.
