The closing event of All Digital Weeks 2025 brought together over 300 participants, including policymakers, third-sector organizations, training centers, and tech companies, in a session focused on the concept of “Digital Citizenship for All.”
One of the highlights was the speech by Andreea Calbeaza (Senior Digital Inclusion Manager at Microsoft), who stated that “internet access is no longer a technical issue, but a fundamental social right.” This vision aligns directly with DIGITRAIN’s approach: democratizing digital learning through accessible content, adapted methodologies, and transnational cooperation.
During the event, various European initiatives were also presented, aimed at improving connectivity in rural areas, developing easy-to-read digital tools, and training education professionals in ICT skills.
DIGITRAIN has taken note of these experiences and will incorporate them into its evaluation and redesign phases, especially concerning usability and accessibility for adults with limited prior contact with technology.
Events like this enable projects like DIGITRAIN to establish themselves as active players within the European digital transformation framework and reinforce their impact beyond the national scope.
