The DIGITRAIN consortium has taken an important step in the project’s testing phase with the launch of the first pilot workshops at adult education centers in Galicia, Spain.
Over the course of two weeks, training sessions were conducted with more than 45 adults with low digital skills, focusing on the initial modules of the content developed by the project:
-
Introduction to the safe use of smartphones.
-
First steps with the Internet and email.
-
Basic navigation on job portals.
These workshops were organized by Femxa (the Spanish partner), in collaboration with the Adult Education Center (CEPA) of Vigo, and were structured based on principles of cognitive accessibility and practical learning.
“I really appreciate that they explain things calmly, without rushing, and with real examples. Now I know how to send an email and look for courses online,” said Luisa, a 62-year-old participant.
The goal of this pilot phase is to gather real feedback that will allow adjustments to the digital content, navigation interface, and educational resources before the final rollout.
A dedicated section on the website has been set up to collect the main results, satisfaction surveys, and improvement proposals arising from these sessions, which will also be shared with the Italian and German partners to replicate the pilot in their contexts.
