As part of the European Year of Skills, the DIGITRAIN project has been invited to join the institutional campaign #SkillsForLife, promoted by the European Commission to highlight initiatives that foster the development of key competences among citizens.
DIGITRAIN has been recognized as a good practice example in inclusive digital training for adults and, since June, has actively contributed to the campaign through communication and awareness-raising activities on social media, institutional platforms, and thematic events.
What is #SkillsForLife?
The #SkillsForLife campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of acquiring and improving competences such as:
-
Basic digital literacy
-
Critical thinking in the face of digital information
-
Online safety and data protection
-
Responsible use of technology
DIGITRAIN contributes significantly to this initiative through its focus on low-qualified adults or those in vulnerable digital situations, promoting their autonomy and employability.
Actions carried out by DIGITRAIN
As part of its involvement in #SkillsForLife, the DIGITRAIN consortium has launched the following outreach actions:
-
Publication of multilingual infographics with practical tips for everyday digital use
-
Testimonial videos from participants in the pilot workshops
-
Informative articles on European citizens’ digital rights
-
Collaboration with local media to share stories of digital empowerment
In addition, the project has strengthened its social media presence with a dedicated campaign under the slogan:
«Skills for today, opportunities for tomorrow.»
A step further toward sustainability
Participation in campaigns such as #SkillsForLife strengthens DIGITRAIN’s sustainability by aligning its goals with the European Union’s political priorities. It also ensures that the project’s materials are shared in high-impact spaces, reaching new audiences and enhancing their replicability.
